Day 3

We woke up at 4:45...Brutal but bearable because we had beds to sleep in.

We got on the road quick because we had to beat a storm that was moving into Dallas from Oklahoma -and at that point Dallas was 116 miles away. Again we had a great tail wind and cruised through the first 70 miles. There were popsicles waiting for us at the 70 mile rest stop - a very welcome treat. We got slightly lost riding into Mike's town where we were staying the night. After a seemingly endless winding road to his house we arrived to a full spread of pizza, queso, rice krispie treats and BBQ chicken.

It was amazing how quickly my mood changed once we got there. I had felt so defeated at the end of the ride but seeing all the people waiting for us (Mike and Evan's families) and the food ( and the pool!) I completely forgot how tired I was. It was such a sudden change in mood I just started laughing.

Ok i have to go for now but I might update this some more later.
