Day 9

73 miles today. Watonga to Woodward. It wasn't too tough. Lots of rolling hills - which is pretty surprising. I thought Oklahoma would be much flatter. At one rest stop Abby tried to sneak away from our little riding group but Scott and I quickly caught her and Katherine. It was a relatively uneventful ride actually.

Cindy from the church we were staying at rode with us for the last 10 miles. We had a delicious dinner of tacos. I tried to make a taco salad but plastic forks and tortilla chips don't work so well together.

A few kids from the church youth group hung out with us in the evening and chatted. OH and there was a storm as the sun was setting. Really dark clouds and fingers of lightning across the sky. I don't think it rained on us though.

The church had great food and people - but more importantly it had amazing air conditioning in the gym! Sleeping felt great because our sleeping bags are designed for 30 below freezing.

That's all I got for today.
