Day 29
by Rob Secker
Jul 05, 2008

Today we woke after a festive 4th of July in the park. We cleaned the church room we were staying at and headed for a restaurant that donated breakfast to us - eggs, bacon, sausage and toast - more than enough.

The ride from West Yellowstone to Bozeman was entirely downhill. It was a gorgeous ride that followed the river all the way down from the mountains. At the second rest stop Trent and I fell asleep on a gravel parking lot. It was the most confortable-uncomfortable parking lot we've ever slept on....

At the last rest stop we turned on some Benny Benassi and danced around riders as they came in.

Our hosts live about 7 miles outside of downtown Bozeman in the most beautiful neighbourhood in Montana ... nay, America. Each house is basically a tiny ranch, each one with huge windows giving a great view of the surrounding mountains. Our (Mike, Abby, Amy and me) hosts , Chuck and Polly, have a cat called Angus. They like to tell people they "live on a ranch and raise Angus [cattle]" They're great people.

We had roast beef sandwiches for dinner at a neighborhood gathering. It was a great change from camping and spaghetti.
