Biography

I was born in Massachusetts but spent most of my years in St. Charles, MO. I am currently finishing my MS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering at UT. After Texas 4000, I will begin work with Towers Perrin as a consulting actuary in Austin, TX.

Personal Statement

Texas 4K is so much more than pedaling for passing pleasure across the West. Indeed, it will be an unforgettable journey, but it has a purpose, a driving cause. I have seen family and friends become diagnosed with cancer--brain cancer, testicular cancer, leukaemia, colon cancer, and more. Just recently my Great Uncle Bill lost his fight with adenocarcinoma. He was diagnosed with cancer last November, one month after his long-awaited retirement. I have seen some win, but more lose this battle. One who kept his life lost his fertility-and at age 30, no less. All who live see the ravages of cancer.

Chris Condit's dedication to this cause is a powerful testimony. This ride of a lifetime will be a beautiful medley of pleasure and pain. Pleasure-the group, the people we meet, the cause, the ride, the culture, the scenery; pain-seeing the lives touched by what we fight. This summer I will stop hearing of other lives lived and join this cause. I feel honored to be able to raise money for cancer research and spread hope and awareness from TX to AK.
