Ok yall here goes:

I am a 22yr old senior with 1-2yrs left of school. I am not totally sure I can handel that fact, so if you want to hire me without a degree-that would be much appreciated. In theory I am working toward a BS in Nutritional Science. I transferred to UT in January '03 after a few side trips, and am originally from San Antonio.

They told me to include my interests so...I like long bike rides that are all up hill. Just kidding, but I guess I will be learning to like them over the next 6 months, or die trying.

I chose to ride this summer because of the cause it is working for. My grandfather conducted cancer research at MD Anderson for a number of years, and always said he particularly enjoyed that portion of his career. My decision was influenced by the idea of raising money for research and helping further someone else's potentially life-saving work. Part of my ride would be in memory of him, and the work he did.

Another reason is a bit more personal. A couple summers ago a growth was found on my thyroid. After a month of different tests, including a biopsy, it was determined to be benign. But considering certain aspects, it is something I have to have checked regularly. I was lucky, and want to ride for those who weren't.
