At Texas 4000 for Cancer we have so much to be grateful for - this time of year and always. We are thankful for the many individuals and organizations who make up our community of supporters: our riders, grantees, community partners, parents, alumni, hosts, board members, event volunteers, donors, corporate sponsors, and most importantly... YOU! We have a vibrant and generous family of supporters and we're so glad you are a part of it.

Before we relay a few tips on how to make your holiday shopping charitable, allow us to give you a quick update on what we've been up to for the past few weeks.

Passionate in their resolve to grow as leaders and fight cancer in every way that they can, our riders are the heart of Texas 4000. The 75 members of the 2016 Texas 4000 Team received their bikes in late October and immediately began training to ride to Alaska. They've attended skills clinics, training camp and group rides, and are on their way to logging 2,000 miles BEFORE ever leaving Austin.
 
The 2016 Team recently visited our grantees at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for a tour, interaction with researchers, and to make cards for patients. A few weeks ago, they gave an educational program about how to reduce risk of cancer at Harmony School in Austin. In the midst of all of this activity, we welcomed the newly selected 2017 Texas 4000 Team to our family at our New Rider Picnic in early November and hosted an Alumni Retreat the same weekend!
