About:

I was born in Oklahoma City in 1993, but I was raised in Waco, TX (I got to Texas as quick as I could). My wonderful and encouraging parents got me involved in music at an early age, and this small hobby grew into a passion. I started with piano, then learned French horn, guitar, and singing. I am now a Vocal Music Studies major at UT, and plan on pursuing a doctorate in music to become either a college or professional choir director.

I love going to the lake to tube and wakeboard, playing music, writing songs, having good conversations, drinking coffee and tea, biking around Austin, seeing other countries, people-watching, laughing (it’s not hard at all to make me laugh), and experiencing new things. I’m regularly guilty of walking around with my head in the clouds, which gets me into trouble sometimes.

I’m loving my time in Austin, and am on the fast track to gaining 60 pounds from the delicious local food. As a second-year student, I already have one incredible year under my belt, and I'm really looking forward to this year, my team's ride year. I'm confident that this will be the best year of my life so far, and I can't wait to experience it with my team.

Why I Ride

I ride for my late grandfather, James Guess. He’s part of the reason I’m even at UT, and he had such an influence on my dad, my grandmother, and the rest of our family. We all miss him a lot.

I ride for everyone who’s fighting right now. I’d like to show them that there are people who care, and who are willing to go all the way across the country so there can one day be a cure.
